What I Bring to the Table
I’m a creative leader who believes the best work — the kind that moves people and the needle — starts with heart, strategy, and a little stubborn magic.

For over 20 years, I’ve led creative teams across retail, DTC, and media, building brands that connect, systems that scale, and work that delivers measurable results. But it’s never just about campaigns or KPIs. It’s about people — the teams I grow, the customers we serve, and the stories we tell that make it all matter.

I’m part Shadow Architect (building what others can’t yet see), part Transformer (adapting at light speed), and part Princess Bride narrator (“Let me explain… no, there is too much. Let me sum up.”). My leadership style blends clarity and compassion. I fight for what matters, challenge assumptions, and bring teams together across functions and disciplines — from C-suite to set design.

I don’t believe in checking boxes. I believe in creative that builds trust, sparks joy, and drives results. I’m looking for my next challenge — somewhere culture, courage, and curiosity still matter. A place where I can do meaningful, human-centered work with people who care enough to build something better. Together.
Experience
2016-Present
Bob's Discount Furniture
Director of Creative
Built and scaled a full-spectrum in-house creative operation across brand, retail, digital, broadcast, social, CRM, and more, serving a brand that doubled its footprint and surpassed $2B in revenue during my tenure. Architected everything from a lifestyle studio and faux showroom to a 360 campaign engine, modular web components, and a national signage system. Led with clarity, curiosity, and heart — mentoring rising talent, connecting creative to business goals, and grounding big ideas in data and customer insight. Steered the team through rapid growth with strategic vision, operational rigor, and resilient leadership.
2015-2017
Purple Carrot
Creative Director
Joined in the startup stage to build the brand, creative team, and digital experience from the ground up. Designed and photographed the website, developed the UX, and authored user stories for the dev team. Post-launch, led iterative testing and optimization that drove significant gains in time on site, click-through, and subscriptions. Converted an empty warehouse into a 30-person office and hybrid test kitchen + studio — crafting the heart and home of a company that would grow to serve 46 states and surpass one million deliveries.
2012-2016
Vayner Media
Creative Director
Promoted after winning the History Channel RFP and tapped to build a standalone creative pod — an “agency within the agency” — serving 60+ brands across social, digital, OOH, and paid media. Led award-winning launches for USA Network and helped shape the culture by mentoring 50+ designers through monthly workshops and hands-on guidance. When I left NYC, I left behind a team and system strong enough to thrive without me — and kept freelancing with Vayner long after, a reflection of the deep trust and impact we built together.
2008– 2012
Big Fuel (acquired by Publicis)
Associate Creative Director (Art)
Helped scale the agency from startup to acquisition, growing from a 13-person team to over 200. Led award-winning creative for major clients like GMC and T-Mobile, bridging digital storytelling with data-driven performance in the early days of social media.
2006 – 2008
Mr. Youth / Conversation
Senior Designer
Started as an intern and quickly rose into a senior design role, contributing to early social and influencer campaigns during a formative era of digital marketing. Learned fast, wore all the hats, and built the foundational skills that shaped my creative leadership path.
1998 – 2007
Applied Learning Tech Institute
Designer & Instruction Support
Pioneered early digital learning tools and web development at one of the largest public universities in the country. Led cross-disciplinary design projects, taught creative software to both students and tenured professors, and built the foundation for a career centered on scalable systems, usability, and growing talent through hands-on mentorship.
1998
GoLive Studios (Acquired by Adobe)
Product Development
Joined the team shaping early WYSIWYG web development tools just before Adobe’s acquisition. This hands-on product experience at the dawn of the digital era helped ignite a lifelong obsession with the intersection of design, tech, and human behavior.
